FAQ
What is the pricing and payment like?
$75/pax, minimum 3 pax to start, maximum 8 pax. Class will be confirmed 3 days before and payment will be required to secure the booking.
How long is each class? And what is included?
The class will run for an hour, including setting up on the water. Equipment (SUP board, paddle, life vest, etc) will be provided.
What happens when the class is cancelled?
In the event that the class that you signed up for is cancelled (eg. bad weather), you will be notified via phone-call or text message. Please ensure that you have a contactable mobile number for us to reach you. We usually check the weather onsite 2 hours before class.
You can reserve your class as early as you could plan your schedule.
How far ahead should I reschedule my class if I can't make it?
Respect your reservation! We really don't like to fluff feathers but our cancellation policy is derived after many months of deliberation. We've had too many people who cancelled or don't show up! We only have 8 boards for each class and once they are all 'reserved', we literally turn away others who desire to attend. If you sms/call to cancel your spot at the last minute just because 'you don't feel like it' or 'prefer to sleep in on a cool day' or 'it's raining at my place, it MUST be raining at East Coast too (when it's NOT)', it's really NOT COOL! That board could've gone to someone else who genuinely want to join our class. We only have 8 boards, not 30 mats in a studio (we wish, but it's unfortunately not the case). We are happy to accommodate genuine changes but please notify us 48 hours in advance or more, if possible. Respecting our policy means respecting our teacher, fellow SUP'ers/yogis enthusiasts and allow others to take your board in the class.
Postponement or refunds happen in the event of:
- Inclement weather (lightning and/or heavy rain) will receive a 50% refund or postponement of lesson within the next 2 weekends.
- No show or cancellation with less than 48 hours notice, non refundable.
What to bring/do before class?
- If you have motion sickness, please pop a pill 1 hour before the class so you can enjoy the class 100%!
- Nothing is more important than your safety so please inform us beforehand if you're expecting (most likely we won't encourage you to do the class), non/weak-swimmer (wear PFD), have existing medical conditions or injuries.
- Any attire is fine as long as it allows unhindered bodily movements and be prepared that you 'might' get wet. Yoga, running or surf wear (Rash guard / board shorts / bikinis) are all fine. Showers are available so do bring along your toiletries, towel and a change of clothes if you wish to take a shower after the class.
- Please bring your water bottle for hydration.
- You may bring along your family members / partners / pets to enjoy East Coast Park while you're doing yoga or to spend time before/after the class at the beach. Kids enjoy cycling, sand-play or simply taking in the fresh sea breeze. Make it an outing, don't rush it! Involve your family, friends and furkids!
Handling SUP Boards
- Please help to take care of the SUP Boards by not dragging them on the sand. Each board has fins and they can get scratched (as with any part of the board). So please bring the board onto its side and carry it up with the handle in the middle of the board.
- Please help to carry the boards back to the washing area (unless Instructor says to leave them on beach) after the class.
Where is the class and how to get there?
Aloha Sea Sports Centre. It's between the East Coast Food Village (carpark E) and the Cable Park.
