A yoga student of more than 20 years, Lyndalou, or Lou as she likes to be called, believes yoga is a lifelong learning and pursue such knowledge rigorously through self-study and workshops.

In 2014, I obtained my Yoga Alliance certification in techniques, practice, teaching methodology, anatomy & physiology as well as yoga philosophy, lifestyle and ethics in the discipline of Ashtanga/Hatha.

It is important for me to guide the students through a class, building awareness of the mind-body-breath alignment. Having seen and personally experienced the favourable changes yoga has brought to my life, I want to share the positivity that yoga brings about. I believe that yoga is for everyone and all who are patient and dedicated will experience its transformative ways.

Besides yoga, I am also a swimming coach for kids and adults, and is pre and post-natal and kids yoga certified. Come flow and move with me for an energising class, in or out of the water.

Yoga Story

I am an adrenaline junkie, very much into extreme sports. While wakeboarding was my passion, whiplash, strained and tight muscles were the payoffs for the thrills I seek.

To fuel my passion, I was focused on training to be stronger, failing to see flexibility as an asset.

My first yoga lesson was in year 2000, ignorant to what yoga is about or any of its philosophies, I picked an ashtanga yoga class because of the word "cardio".

What I felt at the end of the class resonated with my body, mind and soul. I love it! That day opened the gateway to yoga for me, since then, I never turned back.

I obtained my Yoga Alliance certification in 200 hours of techniques, practice, teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology as well as yoga philosophy, lifestyle and ethics in the discipline of Ashtanga / Hatha.

As a yoga instructor, I seek to work in an environment that enables the use of my knowledge in adjustments, ashtanga sequencing and beginner modifications to deliver positive yoga experience to students. Besides yoga (which include SUP yoga, acroyoga and Iyengar), I also enjoy surfing, free-diving, swimming, ballet and rock-climbing.

Swim Story

For as long as I can remember, I find joy in the element of water, whether floating above or diving below its surface. My love for swimming began in my teenage years and has grown into a lifelong passion. Over time, I transformed this hobby into my profession, sharing my enthusiasm and expertise with others.

I started teaching as a swim instructor at APS Swim School teaching swimming to children in learn-to-swim programs. 7 years later, I joined Little Swim School Singapore, adding on infant-toddler swimming to my portfolio. With Fishlike International, I acquired the certification for Total Immersion mentor, allowing me to teach Level 1 and 2 of Freestyle Mastery.

I have since worked with men, women of varied competencies from phobic swimmers to visually impaired to triathletes.

I pride myself on my patience and compassion, always striving to understand and support each swimmer's unique needs. At the same time, I know when to push and motivate them, encouraging their best efforts. My keen observational skills allow me to pinpoint areas for improvement and guide swimmers in perfecting their technique.

Teaching swimming is more than a job to me; it's a way to inspire confidence, build strength, and foster a love for the water. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced swimmer, I'm dedicated to helping you achieve your goals and enjoy the countless benefits of swimming.
